Hour-long documentary on Vischer Ferry, from colonial times, through the heyday of the Erie Canal, to present day.
This hour-long film will explore the unique community of Vischer Ferry, from its founding by Dutch settlers along the Mohawk River during the colonial era, to its heyday as a busy stop along the Erie Canal in the 19th century, to its recent revitalization as a charming village of Greek Revival homes and friendly residents. Produced by the Saratoga County History Center at Brookside Museum. Director Jim Richmond will introduce the film and address any comments or questions.
