This presentation will cover the basics of native plant gardening and answer questions such as: What defines a native plant? What practices should you use when starting a native plant garden?
This presentation from the Audubon Society of the Capital Region will cover what defines a native plant, how to use plant scientific names instead of common names for identification, common sense practices for starting a native plant garden, the connection between native plants, insects, and wildlife and how it helps the environment, and avoiding pesticides. We’ll also go over resources for purchasing native plants, great reading material, and very useful websites to make your native plant garden a success.
