Author and pilot Mark Marchand will discuss his newest book, Climbing Above the Clouds: My Life as a Private Pilot, and help demystify some of the aspects of powered flight.

Ever since the Wright Brothers briefly escaped gravity in 1903, the wondrous world of flying airplanes has captured our imagination and helped expand our travels around the globe. Listen to author and pilot Mark Marchand discuss his own voyage into flight training to become a private pilot and hear about his adventures around North America.

The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library provides a wide range of materials, programs, and services to the residents of Clifton Park and Halfmoon. We are a member of the Southern Adirondack Library System. Our mission is to nurture and foster community connections by providing the space and resources for patrons to be educated, entertained, and enriched. Our vision is to be at the heart of our community.
