Join educators from Schoharie Crossing State Park for a fun interactive board game! Learn how immigrants navigated the Erie Canal in the 19th Century.
Please note: there are two sessions of game play. Please register your child for one session only.
Players will learn about the travel routes, cities, jobs, and daily life in 19th century New York State as they leave NYC and compete to reach Buffalo at the terminus of the Erie Canal.
Siblings who are not registered for this program are welcome to explore the Children's Library with an adult. We ask that they do not remain in the room during this event. We encourage parents to drop off children and browse the library while waiting. Parents must remain in the building.
Please register using the name of the child participating, not the parent/guardian name.
All programs are subject to change.
