Tiny Pests, Big Problems
Hemlock Woolly Adelgid & Beech Leaf Disease
Monday, September 14
6:30pm - 8:00pm
Our forests and landscapes face a quiet crisis from two tiny threats: the hemlock woolly adelgid and beech leaf disease. Come learn why these pests matter to our natural world and how they spread.
We will teach you how to spot signs of infestation in your own backyard. Finally, we will share the latest research and look at ways to manage the damage or loss of these trees.
Presented by retired Professor of Plant Science Chris Cash and Ben Furber, forestry technician with New York State Hemlock Initiative, brought to you by the Town of Clifton Park's Tree Committee.
