Join us for this fun reading competition! Students will compete to answer questions about five specific books, which they will be given in advance. This competition is for 4th and 5th grade students.
Join us for this meeting of our Battle of the Books CPH Library Teams! We will create two Library teams that will read five books and then compete against each other on January 7, 2025. The winning team will move on to compete against the top team from each of the Shenendehowa elementary schools in March. This event is open to home, private, or public school students who live within the Shenendehowa School District. You may not be on both a Shenendehowa School Battle of the Books Team and a Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library Team, as they will be competing against one another in the final battle.
All participants must be available on the following dates:
Welcome Meeting/Book Handout: November 12 from 6-7 pm
Team Meeting 2: November 19 from 6-7 pm
Team Meeting 3: December 3 from 6-6:30 pm
Team Meeting 4: December 17 from 6-6:30 pm
Battle 1 Library Round - January 7 from 6-7 pm (Snow date is January 14)
Winners of Round 1 will need to be available for the following dates:
Final Round Book Handout: January 16 all-day
Final Team Meeting 2: January 28 from 6-6:30 pm
Final Team Meeting 3: February 11 from 6-6:30 pm
Final Team Meeting 4: February 25 from 6-6:30 pm
Battle 2 against the School Libraries: March 6 (Snow Date March 10 or 12)
