Build, Spin, & Discover: Exploring Semiconductors with GF
For grades 6-8
Thursday, July 30
10:30am - 12:00pm
Step into the world of semiconductors and computer chips with GlobalFoundries (GF)! Explore how chips are made and why cleanrooms matter.
Curious how the tiny chips inside phones, cars, and game systems are made? Join GlobalFoundries (GF) for an interactive STEM experience at the Library. Participants will rotate through hands-on stations: building Snap Circuits; creating an LED Helicopter to take home; viewing chips up close; and trying on the same gear that employees wear in the cleanroom.
This is a drop-off program. Parents are welcome to browse the Library while waiting. Please register using the name of the teen participating, not the parent/guardian name.
All programs are subject to change.
